finding an ip addres

is there a way to see someones ip addres on a forum,
unless theres another way to find out if two users are the same person.

well infact yes there is...

but on the downside only the Admin could lookup the logs and see who is who....

Also some ISP's provide what are called dynamic IP addresses, so that each time you log on you get a different IP.

If the two people/one person did not have a static IP and had switched the PC off between posts, it still may not show up.

Dynamic IP's dished out on ADSL accounts aren't always that dynamic, a lot more people are running routers that are always connected rather than connecting on demanding with a USB modem for example so less likely to change.
