Wings'n'wheels

Hi all

Last night I offered up my rear wings to get an idea of how they fit and my wheels seem to protrude. Now admittedly I haven't adjusted the camber adjuster so this may (will) be too far out. But this would only bring the top of the wheel in line with the wing - I think the bottom may still protrude. Am I being a numpty?

Build is Luego Velocity xt, push-in driveshafts, drum brakes. The offset on the wheels is 37.

Thanks in advance

Rich

the wheel is vertical yeah?

So if the wing is wider than the tyre then that’s fine, what it does at the bottom doesn't matter

Do you really mean 'wheels', or do you mean 'wheels and tyres'?

The reason I ask is that the SVA man will check that the wheel rim isn't outside the bodywork. Some tyre showing is OK, although you're pushing your luck if you can see tread when looking down.

Thanks for your replies guys. The wheels were not vertical (wider at the top). I winded the adjuster in all the way and now the top of the tyre will fit inside the wing. Although it is at a crazy angle at the mo. I'll have to wind it back out again until it looks about right.

Interesting to hear that it's only the wheels that count and not the tyres. Thanks David.

Cheers
Rich
