Wideband Lambda

Hi all,Not sure if this is in the correct section !!!

I have got a wide band lambda to get the final set up on my car right,What is the correct way of doing this,Is it a case of sticking it in 6th gear and build up the power until peak torque taking readings across the rev range to ensure it is running slighty rich !!!!

Any info would be much appreciated.

Mike

Roughly speaking when under load or high RPM you want to be slightly rich to cool down the pistons (and avoid detonation under load). When on a trailing throttle its nice to see it going quite lean (otherwise you're just burning money)....
How rich and how lean you want to go depends how deep your pockets are and / or how much you don't want to melt your pistons
