how long
Morning all
Well the paper work for SVA test has been in for 2 weeks. I received a letter last week asking for photocopies of major build items and build photos
to prove amateur build.
These have been sent, so roughly how long before I hear anything regarding a test date? Will I be contacted directly by the relevant test station?
Cheers
Nigel

I would say another couple of weeks. After they 2 weeks I called VOSA to check on progress and then the test station once I knew that VOSA had sent
the paperwork to the test station, all were very helpful.
Cheers

I got my photo's, etc, back within a week and a letter from Manchester SVA about a week later (they'd tried to phone my home number but
got no reply) with my test date.

1-2 weeks should see you with a date. IIRC Southampton SVA phoned me to check dates beforehand and being real people (VOSA not DVLA) were very
helpful throughout the SVA process.
Then it's back to the DVLA for registration...!

When ours was due for SVA, I contacted the testing centre and explained that we could attend at reasonably short notice if they had any cancellations.
They phoned me on a Thursday and asked if we could do the following Tuesday, so it worked for us.

Took 6 weeks for me (after sending back the amateur build declaration)
I asked for a specific date and they rang to
say they could do the week before. I then said "can't I have the day I wanted" and they said "oh okay, if you
want"....
Strange but worked out okay in the end.
