Oxford Locosters

Hi Dan
I'll be there - one of my RARE days off. I would have been working but wangled a day off as I've an Out-Patient appt at the Nuffield (new hip last year, they want to see if I've modified anything since my NHS SVA...)
It will be nice to see some of the cars - I take my hat off to you guys, the RH builds are involved but you all achieve quite a bit more.

Hi again Dan
Just had a peek at your profile. Small world, innit? 12 years in the RAF, Vampires, Venoms, Canberras, Valiants, Victors, the original Arrows Gnats, to name but a few. Airframes, Nat Service 1954, loved the freedom from my sheltered upbringing so signed on. Great time.

Sorry to butt in but,

the original Arrows Gnats. I saw one of them on the ground once at a display and was amazed how small they really were. Did they have to recruit small pilots to fly them?.

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

Original Arrows Gnats - yes they WERE small, a right bitch to work on. I think there is one at the Newark air museum next to the showground where the Kitcar shows are held, saw it last year with my (Dax-building) lad. It looked like it was in a restoration state.
See ya all Tues
Pete(Oldgit)
P.S. how many bike-engined Locosts are likely to be there? I want one, and haven't even finshed the RH yet - no-one tell the wife, eh?

I'm not very good at TXT language, but I think that meant Be There This Tuesday?
But of course you'll be on your way already. Looking forward to it

It means Back To The Top, so that more people notice it.
I went last month and there wasnt anycars as i dont think anyone in this area has finished one. Just a get together to talk about cars and stuff.
Doubt i will be able to make it, as i am again car less.

Glad I brought the camera. Nice Locost Ninja & Tiger, very well-finished cars. Great to meet you, hope I'm not working next time.
Chris - see you soon.
Cheers

P.S. Once the Hood is finished, I can feel a bike-engined blatmobile coming up......

Hi Chris
Sort of off topic - Need to contact you to thank you for the excellent tee-piece you made for me - fitted & AOK.
Can you pls e-mail me at bucketpete2@hotmail.com
I can't send anything from here at work 'cos the system defaults to the company e-mail address and I'll get my botty smacked... (I can however directly E-mail from here from the MSN Hotmail)
I'm back home late Sat night but going to Lower Stondon Transport museum on Sunday with the RHOCaR Herts boyz & girlz.
I have a further favour to ask.......
