Calling all Hull and Humberside locosters

After some interest in a get together for those of us around Hull and just south of the Humber
I would propose the idea of meeting next Wednesday (29 may) at the Humber bridge car park at 7:30
Hopefully easily accessable fin both sides of the river
Meet up have a natter, and a quick drive out
I should point out, I am a fair weather driver so rain would see me not being there!

Could this be a sucessful idea ?
Let me know if you can make it

D

Will join you when my car is on road or if you stop at a pub for a natter in the sun.

Thanks

I should have got mine back from getting the geo setup before Cadwell park on the following day so can pop down for a while as I'll need to wedge it with optimax on the way home anyway!

What's wrong with a bit of rain? :-) I drove up to Daytuner in Harrogate on Thursday for a mapping session. I had rain, hail, and strong winds to deal with :-o I was dry, but just bloody cold!

My biggest problem, is the windscreen, the wipers clear the outside, but spray mists up the inside quite dramatically, making visability somewhat of an issue!
I need some sort of internal wiper arrangement - a hand held window squeegee works if I'm caught out, but is distinctly dubious

sounds fun! It's it a common thing with flat windscreens on kit cars?

Well,
I just got out of work and chance to get to the Internet.

It's not raining now, but looks distinctly grim (not that it's ever grim up north you understand)
So I am backing out

Good luck if anyone goes ahead

After the initial interest, I was hoping a sucessful meet would be the start of a few over the summer.
Perhaps we should aim for a rescheduling ?

Indeed, it's looking very grim here in Grimsby too. Looking on accuweather it's showing rain on and off all evening through to tomorrow :-(

If the majority want to give tonight a miss then I'm up for a reschedule some time soon

What a bummer about tonight was looking forward to it. Definatley agree need to re arrange a new date and possibly set some others up for the rest of the summer.

I'm glad you have all looked at the weather and decided not to venture out as I've just got in as I was at Road Runner Racing and we decided to corner weight the car as well and just finished putting the car on the trailer. Though when I went away two days ago the weather looked ok but tomorrow I'm a bit gutted as Its going to be a wet one at Cadwell Here's hoping it all goes away tonight!

Hi

Alternate Wednesdays work best for me, so two weeks yesterday would be good (12june)
For that matter, if it seems popular, I could mange every alternate Wednesday

Wasn't sure whether to suggest a date, such as 12/6, or plan more last minute depending on forecast (this seemed more important after last nights wash out)

So any comments, I'll start a new thread with a date when I see any interest (save anyone not currently getting email notifications having to trail through all the previous)
- I'm not precious though, if any one feels they are better at organising this feel free to jump in!

D

I think someone mentioned the weekend - I could have my arm twisted to get out there in the car, but unlike week nights , will most likely have the misuss in the car
