I’ve retired

Well my working days are over well for a boss I hit 66 very soon but finished work today
The stress has lifted and I can do what me and the wife wants to do and when 😎😎👍
For the future I may look out for a American Ford F-150 pickup for some thing to keep my busy

It is a great feeling! In my case, the last few jobs were a bit cr@p, so a great weight was lifted when I decided to quit.

Prepare to be extremely busy! Probably busier than you've been for a long time...

Enjoy!

My Dad took a number of years retiring from his business he'd started and run pretty much all his working life.

He seems busier now than when he was working. Mum's got him doing more DIY projects than he ever had time for before.

A Ford F150 sounds about right to me though

September 4th is the last working day for me…
Forced retirement due to my post being deleted, continual reduction in MOD civilian staff and being over scheme pension age I don’t get much compensation…
Robin Hood S3 should be back on the road very soon, Fisher Fury purchased as a non-runner is the next project and the house needs a bloody good refresh so the next few years are sorted.
Set up and photographed my last recruits graduation parade yesterday and expect to take leave and wind down by August.

So true - but most of the time I'm busy doing the things that I actually want to do.

Enjoy! If we get another ten years out of my dad, he'll have been retired for longer than he worked!

Ps Snapper I've still got a couple of those bottles of whisky left! That's been a few years now hasn't it!

Beware! Bourettes is binfectious.

Wow, hope you enjoyed them… I would be dead by now if I had. I have a few treasured bottles left the ones with my uncle name on them as he used to buy bottles from a reserved keg and wait for them to mature and get bottled, I drank all the white and red wine in short order and the good brandy cones out at Christmas.
What did you mates think when you brought that lot home?

Absolutely, purchased a 1932 Riley Brooklands to build and got given a donkey and cow to look after

I spend hours sitting in the field talking to them, life’s good
