avi to DVD?

Hey up.

I've got a downloaded movie in avi format.

How do I put it on to a dvd?

I have a DVDwriter.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks

Chris

Also depends if your DVD player is a modern fancy pants one like mine!

If so and the .AVI is in a decent format, like DivX or XviD then burn it straight to a CD and it'll play like a DVD.

Buy a Kiss player, best player I've ever owned.

Thanks for the replies chaps.

DVD shrink says "invalid filename"

I've only got the demo version of DVD santa.

Andy, do you mean burn to a recordable DVD rather than a CD?

The dvd writer is three months old, no idea what kind it is!

Cheers

Nero will write it. It converts it to dvd as it goes.

Failing that roxio dvd creator will do it.

No I did actually mean CD not DVD but this requires your player (not the writer in the PC) to be able to play such a format. I'm probably just confusing the issue really.

DVD Santa occasionally misconstruse formats therefore not anabling an AVI 23. to 25. frames per second of a DVD. Use Mainconcept avi to mpeg convertor then burn to DVD in DVD files or burn to DVD in mpeg. Most DVD's nowadays will play mpg's... most wont play avi's yet Failing this just watch it on your PC!

New version of Nero (V7) contains a proggie called nerovision. Dead simple, lets you create your own menus/graphics for custom made dvds
