SVA - Anti-theft device ?

I have no steering lock and no ignition key, only switch and push-button start, My battery isolator switch is mounted on my dash and can be operated from driver or passenger seat.....

What do I need to pass SVA for the anti-theft device, will my battery islolator switch count as 1 ?

I have same set up apart from battery isolator. Ignition key is one. Ive fitted immobilser as the second device.
Ive heard of some people getting away with using battery isolator as long as it cant be reached by driver when car is being driven (ie under bonnet).

Immobiliser was cheap off ebay.

Can't see why not if the ignition key counts and that can be reached from the seat.

Cheers

I think i may have been getting mixed up with an immobiliser that can lock the steering etc and prevent safe operation of the vehicle if operated whilst car is running (ie reason why steering locks cant engage when key is in place). Its worth having a careful read of the manual.

I think I've heard of some SVA testers not liking them because all the keys are the same but plenty have passed useing them. What are you going to do for the 2nd one? Sounds like anybody with an isolator key could take your car as it is.

i quite fancy a transponder type immobiliser. that and a simple on/off key switch should see me sorted i think
