Zetec and mt75 fit, but.... OH NO!

Have I done it wrong??
The gearbox sticks under the chassis approx 60mm.

gearbox ground clearance
gearbox ground clearance

ground clearance
ground clearance

I have determined the height as follows. The popular Zetec sump modification seems to be 150mm high. I want the sump sticking out maximum 25mm under the chassis. So I made the top of the ally sump to be 125 mm above level.

Now it seems that the mt75 is sticking out approx 60mm. Since the lower bolts from sump to gearbox don't line up anyway, can I shorten the gearbox as well??

Cool that you have already solved all the problems that I encounter!

Have you placed your engine at the same height?

Do you only use the 5 bolts that originally fit, or have you made more threaded holes, for example in de modded sump? (don't seem that way from your picture)

I've only used the 5 bolts, seems most people do, with no problems.

Yep just the five bolts. Sump is ~165mm and the bell housing is now about the same as the sump.

Ive got about 15~20mm under the chassis.

The whole lot just fits under my gts Bodywork but I had to get the engine as far back as I could.
