Hi mate,
interesting stuff. im in the middle of fabricating a down pipe from a t28 into a 3" system. not sure about the silencers but jetex do a
3"one that could be up to the job but would need a 90 degree bend putting on.
Im running a vauxhall redtop with a T28 and adapted sr20det manifold. should be putting out in the region of 400bhp once im running a bigger tubby.
i was thinking of running an sr 20 but the vauxhall is not so tall and bits are alot cheaper, however i do run an s14 as my everyday car running about
300bhp.
in terms of the down pipe im buying some bends and cutting to length, machining up a flange then getting a local guy to tig it. suppose i could be
persuaded to make 2. where you based?

400Bhp... i thought i was mad
The trouble im having is the tight angle (see pic)
I Have arround 110mm from the flange to the footwell

Do a rubbing of the flange and send it to someone like sciss (http://www.sciss.co.uk/) who will water jet cut it from your chosen material (10mm
stainless is what I used), then get in touch will milner offroad for a stainless bend or two (mentioned elsewhere on here), and make yourself an
exhaust
These are my (as yet unfinished) efforts:
3" into 2.5" done by slitting larger and bending in, then welding up.

Not sure where you are but there is Concept Engineering and Fabrication at Wymondham - Norfolk.
Ex Lotus chaps and they've done a couple of Westfields and they do custom make silencers to whatever size is required. Reasonably priced
too.

Cool, thanks for the reply and the pics.
Im baised near milton keynes if there is someone closer. I remember seeing some T28 - 3" round adaptors. that would make things easyer.

THESE guys were the cheapest source oh stainless bends I could find, they also do 1 x
pipe dia. bends (very bottom of page) which would fit between your bulkhead no problem.
