Ally chassis worth it ?

More advice please

MK - I believe they supply the indy chassis in race, steel or ally.

What are your views on the steel v ally ?

Any comments appreciated

forget the ally any brackets etc that u might need will have to be welded on by a specialist welder u cant hang radiators etc by bolted on brackets using riv nuts any vibration will rip the area concerned apart
no doubt some-one will say i'm wrong

The Ally chassis was a one off, it's just not durable enough Due to vibration metal fatigue. It maybe that for race aplications( though not the Locost race series) the lighter weight would make a difference, but it wouldn't last the season out, I don't think MK would make you one anyway as the material had to be made specially.

Cheers
