Mk rear harness mounts

Hi there in my Mk I've got cobra seats and even with spacers between chassis and harness my harnesses still slope up to go through the holes, now I believe this is a iva fail, for those with Mk's that have gone through IVA what did you do?

Are cobra seats considered structural?

I can't make the spacer much bigger as it'll hit the roll bar and or ill struggle to get the bolt in

Any suggestions?

For the purposes of the iva, would the harnesses be better outside the seat slots?

Blimey...what have you used to bolt them in?

same chassis and same seats in mine and managed to get slightly longer spacers but my seats sit way lower than yours..

Just on standard seat runners, but even without those I'd only gain an inch

Taking them out and running them round the sides is an option and I had read that when I searched for this but no one had posted wether they had passed like this

Your seats do look like they are mounted a bit high. I used to have those seats in mine on runners and i'm sure they weren't that high.

Are your seats solid mounted or on runners??

When Nottingham SVA mine in 2006 Cobra's wrere accepted as structural and passed ok
Looking at mine, which are on runners they are only mm off level anyway so yours must be jacked up way high, or the seat design has changed
Nevrtheless the quick win is to tak out of the seat holes

Cool, cheers for the pic I'm not sure what's so different with mine then if yours are like that with runners too, either I have different higher runners or the seat design has changed!

However it seems the best thing I can do then is as suggested take the harnesses out of the slots and hope for the best!
