Got all the guys round today and got the car off the chassis stand. Looking really good!! Well pleased.

yep, built into the chassisby MK although I think fozzie has the same cage but bolted in. I paid about £350 for it although their site says £400 now. I had mine made slightly higher as I am tall and need it that high for racing.

I think it looks really cool in this pic

Yep you are right my MK cage is bolted in, I wish mine was higher now, its gonna be close getting the 2" space between helmet and cage!

Looking at the wheels you're probably right that they need to swap round, I didn't check whether the tyres were directional.

Cage front stays are fine and don't get in the way at all as they kind of bend backwards a bit, only pain is that you need a thin dash as otherwise itwon't fit between scuttle and cage.

I think I will also get some bolt on side impact bars for racing, probably the most vulnerable point on the track.

Glad you all like it, better get going and get it finished for the summer!!

Yep, after driving mine for 9 months now, I can confirm the stays do not get in the way at all!

Another good reason for having the 'bolt in' cage is that I could take it out whilst I made and fitted the dash and re-fettled the 'wonky' scuttle!
