Hullavington

Anyone been to Hullavington Airfield for a trackday?
If so, is it any good?

I live in Berkshire and this is the closest available 'track' to me, except Thruxton which I don't reckon is the best place for a total beginner to have their first track day - I've been there to see a few events and it is a touch fast (probably flat out for most of it in a blade?!).
The other option is Castle Combe which, similarly, may be a bit fast with not much run-off.

If anyone has any experience of any of these three, your two penneth is much appreciated.

I am also not too far from Gurston Down - does anyone know if you can drive up 'the hill' without actually entering a Hill Climb event?
