5VY clutch

I've just taken my clutch apart, as i need to change the plates some of the friction plates are in two or three pieces

anyway i've removed the first bunch of plates, but there isn't bits 8-12 as in the diagram, unless they are on the otherside of the clutch boss? i got the engine from Malc

what do you guys think

ETA had a closer look i can see the groove in the boss where the circlip 8 on diagram should be, so looks like they have been removed previously.
also engraved on the engine is "ex dodd steng"
Hmmmm

I replaced mine 2 weeks ago.... Item 8 is wire clip only just visable, It's a bit of a pig to get out but once removed items 9 & 10 can be removed, no need to remove items 11 & 12 these are only springs.

Well i spoke to chirpy Malc this moring,
at first he didn't think the 5VY's had damper plates.

but then said they are normally removed due to the circlip sometimes breaking up and falling in the sump blocking the oil pick up pipe!

anywho ordered new friction plates and steels from yamaha.
