Cam Cover Mod 08 R1

Are the modifications u need to do on the 2008 the same as the 04 /06 r1 Cam cover ?

As the read valves look a little different do I remove both the read valve and the curved plate? To leave just the the plate that holds them

Also what size hole have u used to drill in in the cam cover and do u replace the steel baskets afterwards?
Pos 1 Block hole up
Pos 2 Drill breather hole

Is this all that's required to be done?

Those look the same as my 06 ones. I removed both bits. blocked the holes at 1 (I used tapper pins, others have used grub screws) and drilled 5/16" holes at 2. I refitted the basket bits and put folded, fine ally mesh between them and the covers to condense oil vapour on so it drains back in.
