Stationary(ish) airflow with ford MAF meter - problem for supercharging?

Hi,

I'm in the process of supercharging my silvertop Zetec.

Will I have problems of 'stationary' airflow on an MAF sensor, which I think is the 'hot wire' type?

How far back from the inlet valves will it need to go to avoid sluggish throttle response?

1800 Zetec, eaton M45 s/c, 130ps cams

Thank you

What ECU are you using? Do you need a MAF? On my Supercharged / Megasquirt Pinto I used IAT + MAP (Speed / Density)

I'll be using megasquirt, an injector per runner.

The pipework will be (from the inlet valves back to air filter) valves --> runners --> plenum --> intercooler --> supercharger --> throttle body --> air filter

Somewhere in there I need an airflow sensor of some sort right?

What are other people doing?

You don't need a MAF. Use the Throttle Position Sensor and a MAP sensor.

Oh ok, I was going to use MAP and TPS anyway. So I don't need MAF as well?
