Would you do it again ???

I'm referring to your car - nothing else !

All those of you that have gone for the Blade option, would you do the whole thing again ?

If so, would you make any modifications?
ie engine / chassis / etc

Last point, I'm close to going for the MK chassis / blade wngine option, some people say i'd need 10k for the whole thing. THAT CAN'T BE RIGHT, CAN IT? How much should I be looking at?

Cheers

Raj

it depends!
i1m thinking of around £6k but once you start looking at trickbits you could well end up at £10k.
There is a lot of help on this site regarding cost cutting but its down to you and how good you are at sourcing bargains.
Speading the costs as you build is another way of making it easier on your pocket any good luck.
You know it makes sense

I did mine for about £6-7k with a reasonable amount of "extras", 4 pot calipers, split rims etc, though I didn't buy the whole lot as a kit from MK or ST.

Yeh I would definitely go for a blade again, the power difference between it and a ZX9 isnt a lot (around 6-8hp), and although the ZX9 has its advantages / disadvantages, I still think the blade engine is more proven in this environment.
If I had lots of money it would probably be a dry sumped 'busa engine tho, but then I'd probably still be paranoid that it was gonna go pop and £5k would go down the drain.

I'm gonna be looking at around £4-5K with home-made chassis, but nice wheels/seats and electronic dask. If you buy it all from somebody like ST then your gonna be looking at £7k + from what I've heard.

Too right! Sat in a traffic jam on the M1 at 5.30pm on a Sunday night in the pissing rain in a car with no roof might be someones idea of fun, but not mine!
