Fitting R1 clutch cover, technique?
I've had my cover off after pulling the lever too far. That's fixed, but I'm buggered if I can get the cover back on and get the
Pull rod engaged properly with the pull lever shaft.
When I do get it engaged, the lever doesn't spring back when released.
Is there a trick to getting everything aligned?
Thanks,
Martin.

I found that having the basket pull rod in roughly the right place and then replacing the cover while gently turning the arm works well.
The splined shaft hooks on the pull rod and then pulls the cover into place.
The small actuator arm can be quicly moved to its optimal position by removing the circlip holding it on and then reset with the right amount of
sprung slack.
Hope this helps / makes sense.

best way to do this is apply vasaline to the pull rod and its backing disc that pulls onto the bearing this will hold the rod in place then
slide the cover slowly onto the engine when engaged the clutch actuation lever will turn clockwise and if located correctly when the slack is
taken up on the lever there is a small arrow and a notch that line up
if these dont and its too far adjusted you can re adjust by holding the cover and rotating the lever anticlockwise which will push the cover off the
engine when it has moved 1 notch the cover will push back on and should be in line
