New Project
Hi All
I'm Lee with the 500speedster (uklee70) I can't log into my old account for some strange reason.
I was up late on the bay last night and bought this shell!
I have always loved IMP's and have been looking for a shell for a while. Sods law it comes up when you have a 90% finished project on the go!
Now what should I do for a chassis
I was thinking of buying a single seater to rob the front and rear suspension from as this is going to be a track car. I can't be bothered with
the IVA.
then engine I was thinking of zx14 or going for a twin bec set up with the mille 1000 top of my list as they are dry sumped as standard and this still
makes it a 4 cyl car.
I love projects like this but I must get the little 500 finished and through it's sva re test.
What are your thoughts ?
Lee

That looks interesting...
I recall IMP-PAUL having clearance issues upon installing with the length of the ZX12-R engine, you may want to communicate with him before you go any
further.

might be worth a chat with martin at mk if your intersted in twin v twins as he,s done my reliant last year with a pair of tl1000,s 225 hp at the
wheels and it goes well both my engines cost less than one zx12 and apart from regular chain adjustment no reliability issues
pm me and il give you some idea of what it cost me

Saw that in Martin's workshop, very impressive, a very clever man.

Hi I was looking at the shell and had a thought bad idea
could I fit a scooby engine and running gear in the shell for a 4wd rocket
what do you guys think as the running gear is so cheap to get hold of
so get a chassis built to take all the scooby bits
thoughts please

Hi has anyone got any good sites for the scooby
I need engine dimentions and suspension
detailed drawings anything you have would be really helpful
I Know this will not make te car mid engine and if I go the scooby way I will move my posts.
If not then mid engine with a single zzr14 or twin aprila mille engines to the chain dif
same as the R1 mini and the current 500 speester
