the mazda rotory engine can be converted to 2 stroke

no wait they just run 2 stroke oil in with the fuel, ignore that comment in that case.

You'd probably want an old SAAB engine.
Or possibly a snowmobile motor?
Not many big engines out of bikes anymore

The engines used for big ships are often supercharged two stroke diesels, they don't get much bigger

Outside of older bike engines, the older outboard engines are probably your best bet for a decent amount of power.

If you want a big two stroke then you could look a jet ski engine, somat like a yamaha gp 1200 with the ypvs power valve system or maybe a kwak zxi 1100. The problem you will have tho is none have a coolant pump and they dont harf burn some oil and fuel. But you can rev the nuts off em.

I asked about this AGES ago, and I was told a snowmobile engine with a torque converter was the way forward!

How hard can it be?

I was a two-stroke fan in the early sixties and would love to put a straight six, 3 litre, outboard motor in a Locost.
Aah the smell of Cassie-R. Pure nostalgia.
