Wanted - engineering/workshop type task - happy to pay

Hi,

Mate of mine has a scooter wheel that has a push fit bearing.

It needs reseating, as it no longer a push fit.

Not sure what is best, bigger bearing or some
Sort of repacking job... Anyway i imagine a lathe is needed, which we don't have.

Also need the end o the axles drilling an taping (hardened steel).

Anyone fancy earning a few quid to sort it?

Thanks

12" rim, and no - not rare, but I imagine a bearing and some amature machining will be less than £70-80,which is how much a wheel would cost.

Drilling and tapping hardened steel is not a simple job. Reclaiming the hub through either welding and machining back or boring out and sleeving will likely make £70 look cheap for a new wheel.

If the bearing housing is not excessively worn then Loctite 660 may be your cheapest option.
