Audi ABZ part weights

For those who may wish to follow and/or adapt their own, here's some useful weight information on the audi ABZ engines:

Intake manifold and throttle, injectors, fuel rail etc: 16.5kg all in.
Oil cooler and filter arrangement, empty 5kg.
Exhaust manifolds 5.2kg each. Need some work with a grinder as they have some nasty welds inside.
Torque converter, whcih you'll be removing to put a flywheel on obviously, 13.5kg.

I intend to weigh the whole engine but I've not got any scales large enough just yet, 150kg is my limit.

Aye, thanks for that - Hilly's project is what was my inspiration for this project really, but as I couldn't find any reliable info on weights I felt (as I always do, somewhat arrogantly!) that if you want something doing right, do it yourself - i.e. I'll weigh the lot myself Bit of a weight weenie so the V8 hurts to begin with but I couldn't resist it on an emotional level and I needed that to drive the build I think!
