SVA form - do i send build proof?

just filled out the SVA form and have used search extensively to make sure I ahve the details for filling it in.

My next question is, however,....

Do I send the proof of self build docs (reciepts and photos) with the SVA form or wait for them to conact me and request them ?

cheers

I would make copies and send the the copies. Then you can take the originals with you to the test.

How long can i resist the temptation to drop a V8 in?

Hi,
applied a week or so ago for SVA got letter back asking for proof of build. You have to authenticate the recipt/s you send back otherwise they won't accept.

On my trawling through various posts... apparently VOSA will not book and SVA date until they have proof that it is an amateur build. A lot of people have recieved letters post application asking for proof... just not sure whether to pre-empt thios by sending it anyway.....

Not in my experience. I sent off the SVA form last week and they sent me an amateur build declaration to fill. On that form they requested pictures and all receipts

I forgot to send them so they sent me another letter saying that they couldnt continue with the SVA until they had the pics and reciepts

Photos will be coming - as soon as i have made it 'SVA friendly'...

I think I have missed any chance of completion before Stoneliegh so i am now aiming for a test mid May....

Just got to sort the brake leaks, make/fit roll hoop and fix a load of niggly little bits...

cheers

They actually ask for copies of recipts not originals. You just have to sign to authenticate.

great. cheers for that

I guess I will send off the forms and wait for the letter...

think I am going to ask for a test in early may - post stoneliegh.. gives me a more realistic date to aim for...

I have a weeks holiday next week as well so that is all time 'away from the car'

^^^^ interesting - I don't recall sending anything other than the SVA form.

personally I wouldn't give any government run body more info. than they request as well as there being less opportunity for them to misplace it.
