Fiesta 2.0tdci
Hi all
My wife has a 2.0tdci 6 speed mondeo which is quite good fun and still gives 50mpg.
In was wondering if the 2.0tdci 6speed focus engine would fit in a fiesta.
I think this would be a great new daily driver for me. I think a chipped 150bhp diesel fiesta would be great fun.
Is the 1.6tdci fiesta engine the same as the 2.0tdci focus engine and would the six speed gearbox be a straight swap.
Or should I just get a focus 2.0tdci for an easy life!

i'd opt for the easy life myself.... but i hate messing about with production cars even the pickup annoys me mostly, and that should be dead
easy.

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

Far from a striaht swop im afraid. you would need to transfer the whole focus electrical system unfortunately.
however the 1.6tdci fiesta, with the right mods, can be tuned to about 140ish.

the current 1.4 diesel in the fiesta is a Citroen / Peugeot unit which was developed with Ford Money. The same engine is available in a 1.6 and
I'd have thought the fiesta would have that one.
Isn't the 2.0 a Mazda duratec-alike engine?

The engine will physically fit, no problem. getting it to work is an absolute minefield.
only speaking from experience.
