FS: My BMW E61 535D M Sport Touring LCI (2008)
Apologies a little off topic but these make EXCELLENT tow cars for your kit and it has a bar plus a rear camera to help you hook it up. You
wouldn't even know it was there!

And also on eBay from 2100hrs tonight as an auction (if I'm honest mostly to drum up interest for an actual offer). Link here:

Nothing new on that page vs the PH listing other than a link to more photos, which is this:

I've got an early 2009 E61 535d Touring myself and it's a great, great car. Yours looks to be in similarly well maintained condition.
Anyone who buys this car from you will enjoy it I'm sure!
One quick question for you if you don't mind. I'm tempted to also get my gearbox oil changed and I went as far as getting a quote for
something like £385 by a ZF transmission specialist to do the job. However, I have the usual "if it ain't broke, don't fix it"
dilemma...
Just wondering what your experience was with the oil change and whether you noticed much difference in the way the car drives? Also, what mileage did
you get it done at?
My car is on 129k miles just now and I've had it since 72k and I change the engine oil and filter every 12k miles. I've also done the two
thermostats and more recently removed the swirl flaps and replaced the glow plugs and controller. I've also done the rear hatch wiring as you
mention on your ad.
Anyway, the 535d will be a hard act to follow so I hope your next car is a good 'un!

Hi Craig,
I saw your posts when I was looking to buy mine and appreciate your attention to detail (similar to mine, some could say bordering on OCD at times
when it comes to cars!)
Anyway gearbox oil change was done by the previous owner who was of a similar persuasion. So unfortunately I can't give you any before / after
insight on that one.
Thanks for the post agreeing with that I say. As said in the advert I wouldn't be selling if I wasn't leaving the country (again) for a
while so when I come back I will probably go for something similar. Not as keen on the F10, depending on how long I'm away and how flush
I'm feeling I suppose it could be the model after that but I've done zero research on that one (plenty of time to do it in the meantime
tho)

Nice looking car and as you say I'm sure it tows well too.
Having favoured 3 door coupe type cars for many years I'm now a devout fan of estate cars. You really can't beat the practicality of
seats down and bags of load space.

its about 120 for the kit to do it from fleeebeayyy

Unfortunately the parts for my car are a lot more expensive than that. I remember getting two prices and after checking my VIN it turned out mine was
the higher price.
It requires a new filter and new plastic gearbox sump plus a large quantity of fluid which itself I priced at something like £80. It’s apparently a
3-4 hour job for the ZF specialists and would be a messy job to try to do in my drive I think. All in all £385 sounded reasonable to be honest. I was
recently quoted £580 to supply and fit a new set of glow plugs plus controller and although that was a very tricky job which needed a lot of patience
and a torque wrench to avoid snapping a plug during removal, I did that job for just over £100 myself using genuine parts.
Good to hear that the oil change improved shifting and smoothness. Thanks.

Bump as price reduced to £8949
I obviously know what I paid not long ago and when I listed it there weren't many face-lift estates to compare to.
But now there are a few more up for sale I think my original asking is too high. Even though Im fairly sure mine is a better example etc
