Donnington Show, 15th & 16th September

Just filled out and sent back the paper work for the Donnington show. have said about 12 cars but I would like more to show up if possible.

For those who are unsure of dates and locations please use link.

Donnington linky

So lets have a show of hands.
Oh and the race track IS already booked for other use, so there will be NO driving around the circuit this year.

That'll be a real shame - one of the things that really spurred me on to do a car was my ride around the track a few years ago - it put the biggest grin on my face ever!

I hope the organisers will take note of these comments, see some sense and reinstate the track driving in the future.

SVA forms sat on the desk in front of me, Propshaft just fitted today. Car waiting for its first run under its own power. BUT now going on holiday ( for a few days ) so don’t think it will be ready for Donnington.

( only thing left to buy are some mirrors)

Had planned to work on it all last week while the little girl was at nursery but she ( as always ) managed to alter my plans by catching chicken pox. So have spent this week keeping her happy instead of working on the car.

Will be going in the tin top. What’s the camping like there.

Maybe the old Grand Prix loop??

If it is still there. I think it is where they have the Sunday market but I know they used to do racing car gift and corporate days on it.

Hope to be there but if they have racing will that mean we don't get into the club areas inside the track?

You obviously spent your time with the wrong crowd! We had a great time camping with the Luego lads and lasses.

Been going downhill for 4 years.

Ok its a bit late in the day but, I have made all arrangements for our group to attend the show, as previously stated in this thread. I got an allocation for 12 cars on a luego owners club pitch.

At this point in time I really don't know for sure what days I shall be there. I am fairly sure that I wont be there on Saturday. I am hopeful that I might get there on Sunday (tiredness permitting from working till about 5 in the morning.) So if I don't get there it wont be because I didn't want to go, which I really, really do want to (get there). So, lets have a good turn out please lads.

Thank you

JGG

Enjoy.
