WARNING Fuel Tank pornography - Reallity

Ok lads I think I've just about milked the humour to the limits. Just so that you know my sides are still hurting from all the humour of the past 2 days.

First of all I would like to say a very big thank you to the King of the Ali Meister's TrevD.
THANK YOU TREV.

Now I must warn you, IF you are of a sensitive or nervous disposition the following four photo's might be offensive, These photos should only be looked at in a darkened room with adult supervision.

So I now suggest that you go and have a stiff drink after that lot.

This is what it looked like on the initial trail fit. Perfection its self.

First trial fit. Perfection.

and the reason for those notches in the back

and passenger side

Now other progress is that I think I might have a slight problem with a blowing exhaust.
possible exhaust blow ?
possible exhaust blow ?

and this is what I have got so far on the front, currently I am waiting for some little adaptors to be made so that I can mount the indicators in the ends of the tube. (oh and the boxes are only there to protect the carbon fibre finish lamp units)

and full width (you can just make it out its a bit dark)

My thinking is that doing it like this should mean that mr SVA would be unable to bring all the suspension bits into the nut cover/sharp edge test area.

Oh and the fuel tank does work out at a capacity of 11.82 gallons. I just have to pressure test it for leaks, although I am certain that I will find none, fit the fuel sender properly get some tank straps (Thank you in anticipation Dave Meister) connect up the hoses and then finish of the rear end. So progress is getting there. Oh and if any of you out there with a viento want or need a fuel tank then I'm sure that TrevD could be persuaded to make another one from time to time.

As always your comments are very welcome

Enjoy.
JGG

Wow

My tank is a piddly little 6 gallons and as such at approx 25 miles to the gallon, I've run out of petrol twice in 1300 miles. Can these guys make a customised bigger tank for me??

I agree, nice tank, but personally I would not want to be sat in the car if it had one up the rear. Just a thought from one who as had there fair share of spills.
