Exhaust Clamp legal advice

Just wanted some opinions. How do I make the exhaust clamp (below) SVA friendly? I've been thinking a bit about this but all ideas about rubber/plastic I don't think will work because it will run pretty hot.
Can I just point the 2 nuts down and in so the metal dome can't get at them?
Is there another part you folks have used with success?
Any help gratefully recieved!

It will run VERY hot! I think that you have 2 choices:

1. rotate the clamp so that only the U-bolt shows at the top and outside, with the bolts & sharp edges either down or towards the car side (where the 100mm head can't reach - remembering how the 30-degree cone affects what's checked*).

2. do what I did, and used a different clamp, as shown in this link. These can be got from several of the usual suspects.

rgds,

David

* The tester puts a 30-degree cone against the side of the car at floor level - he will check everywhere from where it touches up to 2 metres above (not relevant on a Locost!). That's 30 degrees from vertical, not horizontal...

When i witnessed Donuts SVA, they guy said Andy's were the best as they were so shallow, They were like big, wide jubilee clips specially designed for exterior exhausts, Also look alot better than normal ones

Many thanks David - I've placed an order for 2 of their stainless steel ones.
The piece of 'rusty pipe' I'm using as an expentsion pipe will be replaced with a stainless steel one soon.
