Adjustable M/C pushrods???

I'm thinking of making an adjustable master cylinder pushrod - PICTURE HERE.

Does anyone know if this will be a problem for SVA?

Any other comments welcome as well!

Cheers

Nick

rell,

I hope you mean "as long as the car brakes OK" and not "as long as the rod breaks OK"

Not saying you've not thought of it yourself but that's identical to the one I've used from a MK2 Nissan Micra- might save you some effort!

I cut the pushrod off just after the threaded bit and welded it to the pushrod from the Sierra. The Sierra one is adjustable at the m/c end so you end up with adjustability in both position and length of rod.

James

That's how I did mine and it passed 3 years ago. I don't think the tester even looked at the mechanism even though it was open to view.

yours, Pete.

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

Cheers guys!

James - Hadn't thought of making it from other parts, but it's not a bad idea at all.

Nick,

As in the other thread, I used one from Merlin that only needed a bit cutting off the end and rounding. IMHO, for ease mind and at SVA I feel that it would be better not to fabricate this important part.

Cheers,

Colin
