If they did they are very rare, I've been in the motor trade for nearly 44 years and have never seen one

Didn't the 340 use a Renault engine? One of my friends had one and I'm pretty sure it was the 1.4 Renault engine in it.

my first car was a 345 dl in snot green with a brown interior, never let me down once in 2 years and 40 000 miles of heavy abuse sold it and bought a
360 glt the sporty one (not) same with that bullet proof kept that two years and traded it for a renault 19 16v then i found out what expensive bills
feel like..
as for the diesel never seen or even heard of one. why you after one anyway?

Yeah, they smal older RWD volvos are popular on the drift scene beacuse the 16v renault engine pretty much bolt straight in.
