CAD software
Hi All,
Not sure if this is the correct section to put it in but here goes....
I'm interested in getting some CAD software so that I can start designing a new chassis from good old Vietnam so that I can progress the project
even when I can't get to the workshop. Does anybody have any suggestions as to decent software that a beginner can get started on and that
doesn't cost the earth?
Any thoughts on this?

Cheers,
Tom

Try DeltaCad, 45 day free trial and much cheapness to buy
I have AutoCad, but use DeltaCad for all 2D work.

DraftSight is by Dassault, the Solidworks and Catia people, and is a free download. It's Autocad in all but name, and a few command aliases.

Sounds like draft site deserves a look too then., cheers all. May need to get a newer computer now to handle the programs - don't think the
netbook is suitable
