The man's a dreamer. No more offers please ? He'll be inviting them before too long.

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

Genuine query - would a motorbike engine be any good having been stood for 37 years (oil never added) ?

The sandcast is probably the only reasonable 'single' price out of the lot and is still a bit on the high side....

Perhaps there is a premium for them being in Ireland rather than UK - I know that some cars seem to have very different values ascribed to them in Ireland compared with the UK, perhaps the same is true of bikes??

A bird in the hand....

Agree the only dream in the ad is the prices.

The Wing and CBX are imports, and us bikes were subtly different from UK bikes, generally in the head / carb department.

Definitely very nice bikes, but probably asking twice what they are really worth.

Robinj66 ^^ exactly my thoughts.
A bike which has been standing, with or without oil, for that length of time will probably need at least a bottom end rebuild.
The weight of the crank and associated gubbins (technical term) will have set the mains and big ends.
Don't know how much the crank weighs on one of those but my Lav crank is something like 18kg. and capable of setting the mains if not turned over regularly.
Might be different on a horizontally opposed engine but if you paid that money would you want to take the risk?
Cheers, Pewe10
