7½" granada cosworth diff bolt hole diagram

The diff has a short bolt on each side and 2 through bolts and I want to make up a couple of plates to hang it from - does anyone have a dimensioned drawing or plan of the hole locations or know where I can find one?
I believe the 7" Sierra type diffs have the same hole pattern.

Get a sheet of corrugated cardboard against the side of the difference and press hard where the holes are. Lay the sheet flat and measure up the marks left by the holes.

could you get a gasket set for it, and copy from there?

Thanks for the reply but the diff in question is in use hence a dimensioned drawing would save me the aggro of removing it to make a pattern and then having to replace it, especially if one of the long through bolts is seized in place.
These diffs are or at least were used quite often without the original suspension beam so I'm surprised I can't find this info.

There isn't a gasket on the bolts holding the diff to the suspension beam, maybe you're thinking of the rear cover?

If it is the same as the 7" then the build yourself a Tiger Avon book should have the drawings in. I will have a look later on to see if I still have the book.

From a CAD model of the Sierra diff. Measurements match perfectly with Haynes Roadster differential mounting plates measurements from the book.

Hope that will help

Quick memory tip from stripping several Sierra's, the long through bolt (top one) can often get stuck when trying to remove it! I recall having to hacksaw a couple off and then drive the ends back in and buy replacement bolts.

Take care when removing from the vehicle's sub-frame!

I'm hoping the 7½" diff's top bolt should come out easier than the 7" Sierra ones because the case is slightly different - a boss at each side with most of the bolt shank exposed rather than a drilled hole right through the casting. I'm already putting oil on it and keeping my fingers crossed!
