Some race engines have to do this to allow clearance but ive never heard of it being done to give more power.

Point 1. This fails because my engine has a thermostat.

Point 2. I have heard of this one, but you'll need a dyno to do it correctly as it is not always best to point the gap as the inlet valve. see what NGK have to say about it here.

Point 3.
Partly true for some vehicles, but insignificant when on the move, as the airflow through the IAT is more than enough to overcome the radiated heat from the head.

Point 4. True, but it doesn't smell as good as Castrol R.

Point 5.
Not true, unless the fuel lines are so hot that the fuel is boiling in the pipes.

When are you going to update your site Steve-gus? I've been on here 2&1/2 years and not a lot has happened on the old site. Unless you haven't done anything to the car since your last update?

I gave the car a rest last year due to new job commitments and renovating a bike also got in the way

Updating the web site was an even lower priority.

There have been additions to the car, such as its now got doors, and the grp is complete as far as the front wings. However, i havnt fitted them to the car (until its all painted) so all I have is a car that doesnt look wildly different and a whole lot of grp wings and stuff

However, im starting on the 6ft long front wings this weekend..... and I will no doubt be doing a proper trial fit of all the bits approx march I guess..... that will be the time to update the site.

There are so many good websites on sevens out there that I dont want to just repeat the same old info. I added the bit about an amateurs experience making grp as there seems precious little out there.....

I will put something up once I have summat novel and useful.

Then you can all take the pi$$
