It makes F1 look a bit lame when you watch racing like that, top stuff

What I liked the most was Rossi enthusiastically congratulating Elias after the end of the race - clearly he enjoyed the battle, even though he lost 5
useful points.
Wouldn't see that too often in F1!

I must remember to send Pedrosa that cheque for a tenner for taking the non-deserving yank out
On what grounds do you think that hayden is a non deserving yank

Great stuff.
I recorded it so I can watch it all again Elias was manic, how did he stay on and the finish how close can you get? Hayden was furious but
Pedrosa apologised to him in person after according to BBC interactive, they spoke to him and he didn't have a black eye and was very upset
about it.
yours, Pete
I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

Gutted for Hayden, He is a world class racer and has earnt every last one of his points this season, just like Rossi!!
What a shame for the season to end like that for him, I am sure Rossi would rather shown him who the man is - going toe-to-toe in the last corner.
But HEY!! what a race

Maybe not the best idea to open a thread called "Moto GP WOW" then

I watched it at 6 on Eurosport2 as I was out earlier and they have a news headlines section running accross the bottom of the screen. As they came
into the first corner of the first lap it trundles out across the screen "Tony Elias wins maiden GP as Hayden crashes out". Kind of
spoiled the surprise.
DO NOT PUT ON KNOB OR BOLLOCKS!

Yep, Hayden really won all of those points as he punted Edwards off in the last corner at Assen in one of the most frantic and panicing moves
I've ever seen! He didn't deserve those points one bit!
He's a very good rider, but not in the same league as Rossi or Capirossi - Rossi in particular can do what needs to be done, when it needs to be
done. Capirossi is similar, though lacks a key ingredient - consistent tyres.
I'll be the first to say that watching Nicky is very spectacular and impressive, but it doesn't always work on fast and flowing tracks,
hence the poor result at Donington... He still has a lot to learn, especially when it comes to being interviewed, or should that be when he's
reading from the Honda script!
But I do agree that it was an unfortunate incident, especially when you consider who took him out! Though, if you get the chance to see it again watch
the same corner but on the previous lap as Nicky stuffs it up the inside of Dani and loses the front. Luckily for both of them he gathered it back
up.....

Just watched the race as I missed it on Sunday, i managed not to look at this thread before.
Just got to echo those comments about Elias, how did he manage to take Rossi and Roberts from so far behind. He was so sideways into that first
corner!
0.002 of a second! Pretty close. MotoGP is the reason im not bothered about F1 anymore!
Its a shame Hayden got taken out (although I did cheer!), can you imagine the last races 3 points seperating them. That would be a race!

It'll be a race and a half anyway, and as Elias has proved anything can happen!
It's in Spain, so Elias, Pedrosa, Gibernau and Checa will all be absolutely fired up and will do ANYTHING to win..... I can't wait!

Gibs out, Tony has a ride now for next year and Hayden has told Pedrosa its a Honda one two at the next round and Danny stays behind the texan or he
might just still get a black eye!
Tony rode his heart out, unemployed looking for a job.
I've done a fair bit of marshalling in me time and been scared sh1tless by Sheeny and the other boys on their works bikes at Scarborough, but
I've never seen any one push a motorcycle that far and not fall off.
Pure class...
I have it on DVD.

Bad news about Sete - I have just had a peek at the MotoGP website.....
He's had no luck whatsoever in the last couple of years! I hope that this isn't the last we see of him......
Good news for Toni, but why couldn't he ride like that all year?
