At the sva, do they check to make sure the wheels have the correct camber/caster etc??

They don't check stuff like that, they check the tyres speed rating so don't claim too high a top speed.

Mine failed on incorrect suspension setup. We had put lots of toe out to get the thing to self centre. Changed to normal for the second test and they did not check the self centering at all

They checked the self centering on the first test, only worked on one side! Didn't bother testing again at re-test!
