Drive shafts into LSD
Hi guys im using drums on the back from an 1.8 lx sapphire but im going to use a 4x4 LSD if i find one.Do the push in drive shafts from 1.8 fit into
the LSD or will i have problems?. or is there another diff that would suit??
(engine is R1)

So that means it wont work then??
so i will have to get disc brake set up for the back to get aan LSD to fit ??

MK also supply different rear uprights for disc rear end.

So is rear disc's the best setup to go for to save any bother??
I dont have the kit yet about 5wks to go so i could change it.

If you want LSD then the only route if using Sierra diff. The donor parts are more or less the same cost if buying from scratch from a breakers, or
source a 4X4 Sierra and get the lot in one package. Standard diff and drums are well up to the job, but if you have your heart on other spec then do
it now.

I would agree if you want LSD then get a complete rear sub frame from a sierra 4x4. It will only cost you £20ish more to refurb the brakes as compared
to the drum set-up.
You can get and use a Granddad 4x4 LSD rear sub frame and use it with no probs but you will have to use 5 stud rear wheels. You can change the drive
flange back to a 4 stud flange but you will need to get these from a 4x4 sierra.
Using 5 stud flanges on the rear and 4 on the front is what quite a lot of V8 Rush builders do because the front and rear wheels have different
offsets and are therefore not interchangeable anyway.
