what shocks

whats going to be the best car to get my shocks & springs off???. i'm using standard book suspension?

as far as I know there isnt one!

This will be one of your biggest expenses.


Some have spoken of using mk3 jag or xj-s jag rear shocks - there are 4 on the rear, with coil over springs.

A reliant also has coilovers i think!

The cheapest ones are zeemerides from lolocost, but the jury is out on them. some think they are ok, others think they are crap, but dont seem to have tried them. I hope they are ok cos thats what i have. They are about 180 a set. Other makes are 300 - 400 plus a set.

Gaz shocks, around £270 a set, good, but not as expensive a Spax.

Check ChrisG's site for instructions of how to adapt mini ones, but your gonna need access to a lathe.

Not a lot of choice here, gotta buy aftermarket ones.

Actually you only need a lathe to cut the collars, you could get them done by any fab shop for beer money.
