Prop Shafts Fiat to Ford

Can anyone point me in the right direction of a company who can manufactuer prop shafts.

I have the added problem of having a Fiat gearbox with which I would like to replace the rubber donut with a Universal Joint and then fit it to a Capri axle!

Or if any one knows someone who has had experience with adapting this type of gearbox to take such a shaft that would help.

Yep...

http://www.baileymorris.co.uk/

Give 'em a call and just specify what to what and how long you want it

As an example of price I'm going to connect a Fireblade g/box to a Cortina axle and the price is £195 + VAT or £225 + VAT for one of those rubber cased non-vibrate sort (can't think of the correct name )

Or try Autoprop - I paid £85 + carriage + VAT (about £120).

All they want to know is what each end is going to attach to, and the distance between them. All I told them was "Sierra Mk9 box, Escort Mk2 axle, 7 hundred & something (769?) mm." A week or so later it arrived in the post.

Good- quality ends, UJ's with grease nipples, balanced. Paint job was rubbish, but I just wire-brushed it off & sprayed it myself.

rgds,

David

I've been too clever for my own good - try waving your cursor over the word "Autoprop".

Just as a sidenote to that... why don't these companies reply to the emails that are sent to them via their 'contact us' links on their websites? Contacted both of the above via that method and neither replied. Andy and I only know about Bailey Morris coz I phoned them up (after recommendation). Bloke was very helpful on the phone, but would have been even more helpful not to have to phone them using the company phone bill and have the boss breathing down my neck about it!
