I bought new one for mine, no point in not, can't remember the price but I should imagine they can't be more that £30 for the pair.

Has a new set of disk's today. Worked out £32 for the pair. On the disk it say's the min thickness is :- 11.4mm ... crap to say they only start at 13.5mm but there you go.

The bible according to Haynes says
". . the disk may be re-ground but no more than a maximum total of 0.060 inch (1.542 mm) . ."
There is no quoted minimum thickness.

One other thing to be aware of is the disk is the same as the Escort.
Escort book quotes "disk thickness 12.77 mm" although doesn't quote a minimum

I got mine for £11 each at PART-CO LTD , not worth the effort of skimming at that price, and a lot safer. good luck Phil.........

There's no point in skimming them really, you might as well buy a new pair for around £30. A set of drilled and grooved disks for the Cortina hub assembly only cost £50 from certain sources!
