bmw 316i uprights

hi, this kinda decides what my donor is - how suitable is the front suspension on a 316i, particularly the uprights, for adaptation into a locost? anyone know? cheers!!! rodney

Is the strut removable like the Sierra one? If it is you could use the same system with the blank in the top. Otherwise you could cut the strut down, weld a bracket to the back of it and use a spherical joint in the wishbone instead of a top ball joint. You will have to work out lengths to get your geometry.
