quote "1.6 TWINCAM FIAT ENGINE MINAFARANI "

no idea what a MINAFARANI is - there engines were mostly fitted to Mirafioris I believe......

"MINAFARANI" what the the chuff is that then...?

Mirafiori is what I think he means

Looks well enough built though, but the lack of seller knowledge isn't encouraging in terms of a sale IMHO.

That's nothing. Mine is" European car of the year 2011" since I found out that manufacturers have made these accolades up and award them to themselves

It actually looks quite nice
But the wild statements nd lack of basic knowledge from a seller LINGDALE MOTORS is a bit worrying

Interesting: mycahrcheck.com has it as a "Lotus (Convertible)" https://www.mycarcheck.com/check/Q788TYE/

freecarcheck (no, I've never heard of it either) says it is a Lotus too http://www.freecarcheck.org/search

so does dvla http://www.taxdisc.direct.gov.uk/EvlPortalApp/application?pageid=Vehicle+Enquiry&portletid=VehicleEnquiry&portletns=VehicleEnquiry_en&wfev ent=link.next

I wonder if Louts has a record of manufacturing this car in 2005?

Interesting also that the ignorant seller calls it a Locust, amongts other things...

is that illegal to name it a lotus on the log book if its not an original lotus, am sure someone told me if you registered a locost i.e MAKE:Locost MODEL:7 , that caterham can sue for using the 7.

That car has some chuffing wide wheels on it! Makes the spare look like a space saver!!!!

Looks nice though.

In 2004 my car was voted best in the universe by me, my wife and grand kids. I've got a 1600 Fiat twin cam in bits I think it was a Minafoneria engine (might have been Strada though ) He didn't last long at 3 months, probably his hair went with taking the screen off, he only rested it back on for the pictures. Oh sorry, that was the screen not the hair. It's a Locust according to the listing so it's the plywood one.

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

Best car? From the photos, i wouldnt based on the number plate being bent on the rear, and the gear shift surround just looking like a piece of square ali plate.

Sounds like a blagger to me.

Actually I think it looks quite nice. ie reasonably tidy and well built .
The Line of the rear tub (sides) make it look like a LocUst to me.

Not sure I would want to pay £4500 for it.
As noted by others, no reserve shown other than in the text which I am not sure is binding.
Maybe if it doesnt reach the price, he will withdraw or refuse to sell. I had that happen, ie I won an aucstion and the seller refused to let me have to goods, and there is not a lot you can do about it.
