Bugger, Sod it, more dangly bits!!!!!

I looked for ages for a Mk2 escort for ages before it gave up and got a Capri axle, I couldn't find any Cortina uprights for months and 3 set came up within 24 hours, just as I had settled on using sierra uprights with adaptor mushrooms. NOW a bloody Mk 1 escort 1300 GT running gear has turned up.

I belongs to a sprayer at work, there is no bodyshell, as this has been used for a Lotus Escort Mk1 replica (I didn't know there was an original!). There is engine, box, propshaft, axle, dash column etc, but he is not sure if he has the documents (he bought the stuff from the replicator). I will find out tomorrow.

If there are no documents, will I be able to use the engine, I think I need to prove the age etc.

Can anyone see any disadvantage in using a Mk1 as a donor?

Thanks
Mark
