New alloys

Taken delivery of nice shiny glitter painted alloys - pictures in the archive,

For anybody interested they are Team Dynamic Pro Race 1, weigh a respectable 6.2kgs, shod with Toyo Proxy's, 195x50x15.

£480 excl. p+p (I used my own courier) from Mach#1.

They look HUGE after those skinny old Cortina wheels....but fit the arches perfectly.

I was very surprised at how cheap they are, around 45 a corner, all i can say is thankyou to all the saxo/106/whatever brigade because of them alloys and tyres are at obtainable prices,.
Just for the record i paid £600 for the four inluding tyres, nuts, locking nuts etc..i am well chuffed.
yours is looking good how long do you think till you are on the road?

Man, that's a good price for fat rubber, don't have to worry about a few donuts then!

Jon, can't wait to test those brakes in anger.....

As for time scale, Conrod is coming over this Sunday to hopefully help finish the wiring (tricky things like hazard relays), we could well be looking at the first firing up which will be a VERY exciting moment. Could also be a very loud moment if my local blacksmith doesn't finish off the silencer adapter by then.

As for timescale I really can't tell as I just don't know how long things take till I do them. I'm still hoping for Le Mans, but I'll only take it there if I have at least a week or two shakedown time. The family are away for the next 10 days, so I'll be in the garage every waking moment I'm not at work.
