Powder coating near Cambridgeshire!

Our chassis is now ready for powder coating, but local firms can't handle the length of the chassis (3.1m)
The only one that can wants to charge us £350!!!
Anybody know of a good powder coater close (ish) to Cambs that won't rip us off?

If the above quot inclueds media blasting then that price isnt as bad as it looks.

You will get it done for much less with out good prep but you will regret it when it falls of.

There is a place in Milton (opposite Tesco) that does stove enamelling. I think I remember reading on their signage that they also do powder coating. I'll check next time I'm down there and update. Might also be a place up in Waterbeach.

Agree with the above re: blasting. If it isn't blasted it will look good for a short time and then start chipping and when water gets under it fall off in sheets.

Due to the nature of the coating it's very hard to repair in any way that looks good (except blasting it all off and doing the job again).

Hi.
Thanks to all replying. I will look up Sandy Powder coating & give them a try.
Did try the Milton place, really helpful people but they cannot handle the length of the chassis. They suggested a place in Royston who I contacted but no reply!

That would be Morley Brothers . Have done jobs for me in the past that have always been first class . They also refurbish wheels . Milton Precision Engineering on the same site also do good work.
