Not seen him around here for a while, but he's active on the haynes roadster forum as "fabbyglass"

For a start.. sorry to hear that! That's chuffin dumb and says it all about some manufacturers!

Secondly... are you sure the Viento wings are wider? I would have thought they were narrower if anything as the chassis is wider but the drive shafts are standard (AFAIK). That means the wings must be narrower or they'd overhang the wheels! Or do you have to use wheel spacers (or massive off-set wheels) with a Viento?

My GTS wings (Triton made/designed I believe) are 12" I think.

You can contact Triton on here by u2u, he's reasonably frequently on here.

Cheers,
James

Hold on a sec'!

You're building a standard Locost right? With Escort axle?

How come you want non-standard arches?

Or have you got a Sierra or Cortina (+4" ) wider axle?

In which case, most manufacturers should be able to help you as most do a Sierra axle'd (but Locost width) car!

Sorry, if that's confusing, I just wanted to make sure you get the right thing and having built a *very* non-standard car myself, I know how annoying it can be!

Cheers,
James

Positive offset means the wheels are closer into the body, doesn't it? i.e. +32 means 32mm closer into the body than 0.

That is Correct. The offset value is measured from the centre line of the wheel. Meaning with a 32mm offset wheel, the mounting face is 32mm out from the centreline bringing the wheel inwards

Sorry for the delay in getting back with the measurements mate. Had a manic week!

The arches are a whisker over 12" wide, in yellow.

I also have a pair of 8" fronts to match.
