pre lit westy, whats it worth

i have owned this pre litigation westfield for approximately 5 years and finally managed to complete it earlier this year. i bought the car as a part built, but decided to completely rebuild it from scratch. as a result it has

-a re-powder coated chassis with additional rust proofing layer
-completely re-paneled
-new/reconditioned brake components throughout
- 1600cc crossflow complete with zx6r motorcycle carbs (reconditioned in 1987 when kit was new and not used until sva'd.
- 2000e ford gearbox (reconditioned in 1987 as per engine)
- differential reconditioned at the same time
-clutch replaced when i refitted engine and gearbox
- new premier wiring loom
- acewell speedo
- savage switches + honda s2000 engine start button.
-intatrim ranger seats (black with yellow piping)
- luke 4 point harnesses
- removable steering wheel boss
- body is chrome yellow with black aeroscreen and cycle wings
-aez alloy wheels with avon tyres

- sva'd 09 on a q plate as reciepts for engine and gearbox are to old for age related plate
- Taxed until end of feburary 10

since completing it i have done under 300 miles and 100 of this was for sva. since finishing it i have decided to buy a house and can't justify having money tidied up in a car. the only problem is i don't know what its worth. please see the pictures in my archive.

Sorry but you've made it too modern looking so £3500 as it is I reckon.... £5000 if it looked more like the Caterham it copied ie with a proper windscreen, traditional instruments and more traditional seats....

Doubt that's what you wanted to hear but.....

Put her up on pistonheads and wscc for £5495 and wait

Someone will buy it, just don't under price it

IVA'd bare westfuild chassis registered on an 09 Q would sell for £1500 on its own

Only a true anorak would spot that it's an SE rather than a 7 SE.
(Both pre lit, but one with plastic rather than ally bodywork.)

At the end of the day, it's still (just about) the prettiest of the westfields and shoudl be respected as such.
It wouldn't take much to return it to period spec.

Do not sell this Westy for less than 5K. Basic condition is everything IMHO and your car is nearly as good as new. The lack of windscreen is the biggest problem and could limit your market.
This, along with the few other non-original items, could easily be sorted if the new owner wishes.
There's an RH on ebay at nearly 6K, which even the presence of a redtop engine wouldn't put it above your car on my shopping list. Wouldn't even make the list, if truth be known. Covered in "7" badges. Yeuk!
Put it on the WSSC site as previously advised. £5295.
