7 type car wanted...

Got a chance to sell my Mini on quick although at a much lower price, before I go any further with the sale I thought I would see whats for sale before I rush into anything.

So does anyone plan on selling their 7?

The ideal spec for me would be...

Zetec, Duratec, VX, Hayabusa, GSXR1000 etc
Full cage
Adjustable shocks pref Avo, Nitron etc
Good build quality
13" wheels with decent tyres
Large silencer
Race seats

I appreciate the perfect car may well not be out there, and yes I am prepared to complete the list to make the car my own so dont worry too much if you havent got the above

So anyone planning on selling?

Could be a quick deal on the table

Cheers
Kevin

Yep, I'm planning on parting with mine too, but again not quite what you are after.

<-- Luego Viento with a 4.2 V8...

Stuart Taylor with K series of any interest?

ETA - even if it is not, putting your location in your profile might help

You dont mention your budget.

It will dictate what you will be able to get.

Also bear in mind that it doesnt have to be exactly what you want. You can always change or modify later on. Thats one of the beauties of a Kit car.

I am tempted to sell my V8 Viento, as being retired its a bit of an expensive luxury. But the fun of driving it is a very strong magnet holding it in the garage!

Good luck in finding what you want.

1. The point of a journey is not to arrive.
2. Never take life seriously. Nobody gets out alive anyway.

Am thinking of parting with mine. It ticks most of your box's but has not been IVA tested yet. I have had an offer already but would like to get back at least some of what I have spent on it. If interested send me a U2U. Thanks Henry.

Many thanks for the replies guys

OK I am wanting a light weight car so sorry the V8's are out of the equation, also thanks for the offer but I aint a turbo man, supercharger man yes, turbo no

Also dont want xflow or pinto, sorry.

Sorry I knew I would forget something, I am based in Scotland but will travel anywhere in the UK for the right car, so dont be shy just cos you live miles away from me, its not a problem.

Budget - well thats the hard one as it depends on the spec and how much work I have to do to put it to how I want it, I would like to spend upto £8.5k but will stretch if the perfect car comes along if I need to.

Hope that helps give a clearer picture.

Cheers
Kevin

PS Loving this forum, you guys are great and so friendly

Sorry Humbug I forgot to reply to you.

I have updated the profile and put more details in the post.

Yes would be interested in a K series, but would be wanting 1.8vvc or DVA tweaked.

Thanks
Kevin

Kevin, what you really want is this:

Can't remember which way you went after the Westy... was it the VX220 route?

Awwwwww yes the westie, it was a good car, that pic was an old one as the westie had new race seats and the Wunoff can on it, made it complete!

Went down the VX220 route after the Westie, really wish I hadnt as they are a bag of sh!te, even tried an Elise and that wasnt much better! Got the Mini as I needed a fun fast car but that could get me to meetings in a suit - job done! Must admit the Mini turned out even better than I thought!

Had a phone call this morning - Mini is now SOLD! Going to deliver it on Saturday.

So I best keep my eyes open now, any more cars for sale??

...and then you sold it! pic is 2006 btw..

I did hear of a Megabusa that's not getting much use, and could be up for sale... no idea of values or how much you're wanting to spend.

It's a good un.. Have passed your email address to him. I was going to say he's local to you in Lincolnshire, but you appear to have moved.

Thanks.

Aye we moved nearly 2 years ago to the wilds of Scotland. Lincs is fine as I can stay with my parents down near Hull.

Thanks for the offers guys

After having a think my preference would be a Zetec/Duratec on itb's or something similar. If nothing turns up on that front then I will start to consider another BEC.

After 10 years with a BEC it would be nice to have a CEC again!

I keep toying with the idea of another project if you fancy a slightly different BEC. I've sort of put it up for sale (somewhat half-heartedly) before. There's a couple of photos in my archive and I have more photos and full spec available if you want it. It was last offered at £6995 but would let it go for £6k.
